Warming up the word – The Twits

This week we have been warming up the word in readiness for writing a play scene based on Roald Dahl’s ‘The Twits’. As part of this we wrote a letter to Mr or Mrs Twit telling them that the things they have done wrong and how to make up with each other. We found out that the children of class 3 are romantics at heart with many suggesting that the Twits buy each other chocolates or bunches of flowers!
We also had a class discussion about celebrations to tie in with our theme this term. We found out that many of the things we celebrate throughout the year have deeper meanings and over the next few weeks we will be researching this.
