Windmills in Forest School

Class 4 have spent four weeks designing and making windmills to decorate the vegetable garden.
The first job was to cut discs of wood from a big log to make the centre of the windmill
After that, the axle had to be made with blocks of Elder to form spacers between the support and the wheel.
Having designed the sails first, these were made from either wood, leaves or card (laminated, of course!)
Don’t they look magnificent in our garden?
It’s wonderful to see these out of my window every morning! Thank you Class 4!
Love your windmills class 4! Thank you to Aidan for explaining to me how you made them!
