Dough gym and funky fingers.

We do dough gym and funky fingers as a daily activity usually straight after letters and sounds. It usually lasts as long as a song 3-4 minutes. We put the song on and they complete a simple task.

Dough gym is very effective programme for children who really need to work on their upper body and gross motor development.

Funky fingers is a pincer grip activity to help with fine motor skills. This helps us with our writing.

This week we have been cutting up straws and threading onto string, using pegs to move pom poms, using the tweezers to move seeds into numicon shapes (this was the tricky one!) and dough disco.
