This morning the children were working as detectives. They were asked to use evidence from ‘Eddy’s Blog’ and the ‘Evacuees’ Reunion 1995′ booklet to answer questions about how evacuation affected rural life in Woolsery. They found out what the children did when they weren’t at school and whether this was a help or a hinderance to the locals. It was also discovered that not all of the children had friendly foster families. One lady was particularly strict with the evacuees; she would not allow the children to have friends in the house and she definitely did not let them have sweets!
