Batik landscapes

This afternoon Alminstone class have been using the batik printing process to create images of landscapes following our art work this week looking at the vanishing point and horizon lines. We used hot wax to draw over our design using tjantings. Next we painted the different sections of our designs. Our work will dry over night and then tomorrow we will use an iron to remove the wax and make wooden frames to create a canvas effect for our work.
I’m so impressed with these, they’re amazing! 👍😊
They look well cool. They have all come out really well.I had a go at it and I could not use the wax thing very well!
Your designs look lovely, Alminstone. I can’t wait to see them on the frames.
