On Thursday we all travelled to Bideford and caught the MS Oldenburg to Lundy. After a steep walk up the island, at the top we stopped for lunch and then explored. We saw a range of birdlife including the wonderful puffins on the rocky cliff faces as well as butterflies and horses. We scaled the lighthouse which had 139 steps and enjoyed the amazing views from the top before exploring the cave beneath the castle. We ended the day with a boat trip around the island where we saw seals on the rocks and finally we travelled back to Bideford with dolphins leaping from the water next to the boat. It was a fantastic day.
I really enjoyed lundy and I will definatly be going again with my family.
