The World’s Worst Children

No, not Ashmansworthy Class, but the book by David Walliams! We are using the characters in his book to help inspire us to write similar stories focusing on the development of characters and settings. The children have completed their elicitation task and have invented characters such as Techno Tim who can’t put down his devices, Hairy Hannah who has such wild hair she gets stuck in a holly bush and needs to be freed by the fire brigade and Funniest Phineas who constantly plays jokes on people and thinks he is hilarious (He’s not). We have also been using Roald Dahl’s description of Miss Trunchball to help us identify different literary devices to help the characterisation in our stories.
