Rocket Science

On Wednesday, a rocketry expert called John Parratt worked with 24 children from the ACCT to build rockets. These aren’t just any old rockets…these rockets will fly hundreds of meters into the sky when they are launched, and fall to earth using a parachute!

The children had to follow complex instructions to build their rockets. They had to construct the mechanisms to enable the parachute to be deployed, and fit the engine so it will fly. All the children enjoyed the challenge and worked hard to follow the instructions carefully.

We are hoping to launch the rockets today on the school field if weather permits.
