Exeter trip

Burscott and Stroxworthy classes went to Exeter Cathedral and Museum. We had a tour around the cathedral and saw the bishop’s throne, the first lectern (of a wooden eagle) and a Lego replica of the cathedral. What saint was the cathedral named after? How old is the cathedral? Which animal was killed in World War II? Which nursery rhyme was written about the clock found in the cathedral?
The children enjoyed the brass rubbing workshop. They touched a Roman wall and found some interesting exhibits about the Romans in Devon.
Ralph so enjoyed his day in Exeter.
