Soluble or insoluble?

In science we have be investigating which solids are soluble in water. The children tried to dissolve different solids in water and record what happened. During the the second part of the lesson, the children used a candle to heat a concentrated salt solution to get the solid back. They noticed that as the water evaporated, the salt crystals were left in the tin dish. Next week we will be investigating which factors affect the rate at which a solid dissolves.
