What a lovely day out we had at Buckfast Abbey. Beautiful grounds full of amazing trees which we loved looking at. We also enjoyed putting on a blindfold and trying to describe the trees that our friends led us to. We made the inside of a tree and learnt what each part does. The Abbey was HUGE! We crept around like mice and brought a tear to Mrs Farmer’s eye (she is quite soft) with our reactions to the enormous stained glass window. In the gardens we smelt the roses and felt the furry leaves. We also spent ages watching the newts and the tadpoles in the pond. A really lovely day and we all behaved impeccably.
