Ashmansworthy class have been very busy this term learning all about how horses are portrayed in literature. We have been studying Michael Morpurgo’s War Horse and writing diary entries, poems and painting poppies. The quality of the children’s work is outstanding and they have used very powerful emotive language to show the thoughts and feelings of not only Joey (the horse) but also some of the soldiers in different scenes of the book and film. Please come and see their work displayed in the school and the classroom.
