School Photos

Unfortunately, our photographer has cancelled his visit on Monday due to ill health. This means that we will not be doing school photographs on Monday. However, we have been in touch with an alternative company (Tempest) who will confirm a new date with us soon, which they promise will be in time for Christmas photo orders. They have also confirmed that they will be able to accommodate family group photos provided all children in the picture attend this school (including Sunflowers Preschool).

If you have booked a Preschool session in order to include your child in this year’s photos and wish to cancel, please let us know by Monday mmorning and you won’t be charged for the session – emails should be sent to admin@woolsery.devon.sch.uk . Thanks.

Once we have a date for the visit by Tempest, we will post it below, so please check back again:

New School Photographer Date: TBC

Flu Nasel Immunisations

Please remember that you need to visit this website https://schoolimms.virgincare.co.uk/flu/2020/devon  to indicate whether or not you give consent for your child to receive a nasel flu immunisation spray for the coming season. we are not allowed to process your request for you, for example from and email or letter as Virgin Care (who administer the programme) will only be guided by their website returns. This needs to be done as soon as possible.

Packed Lunch Leftovers

Please could you remind your child that if they have packed lunches the must take all of their leftovers and wrappings home again for displosal. This is a change from our pre-Covid times but is neverthless one of the rules we have to work with. Thank you for your understanding.

Football Studs

Just a reminder that we have asked all children to leave their studded football boots at home. These have been creeping into school over the last few weeks but it’s not safe or necessary to wear studs for kick-abouts on the field when shin guards aren’t being used. Thank you.

There are a couple of ways you can help local organisations in the run-up to Christmas.

Firstly, if you are ordering from Amazon, please remember to visit Smile.Amazon.Com and log in as you would for your regular account. you will then be able to nominate The Friends Of Woolsery School as your chosen charity and FOWS will receive a small percentage of your purchase costs directly from Amazon, without any cost to you. Once you have registered, your Amazon Apps and Accounts will all work normally and will automatically support FOWS every time you order.

Secondly, you cann support 1st Woolsery Scout Group by ordering through EasyFundraising. This works in a slightly different way, but again, if you visit the site and nominate 1st Woolsery Scouts as your chosen charity, a percentage of your purchase costs will be paid to them without any cost to yourself.
