Hadrian’s Wall

In Stroxworthy, we have been learning about the Romans in Britain.  We have been learning about how Emperor Hadrian built a wall to stop the Picts (from Scotland) entering England.  It was built from the east to west coast and was 117.5km long and 3 metres wide, so two soldiers could walk along it side by side.  Along the wall are many forts milecastles and turrets.  We built our own versions of Hadrian’s Wall using materials we had at home.
