Cricket festival

Today Miss Grant and I took 11 year 5 children to a cricket festival, which was held at North Devon Cricket Club Instow.

We were competing against year 6 children from schools across Devon. In our group we played Caen, Marwood, Woolacombe and Goodleigh. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to play St Helens as all of the final games were called off due to the intense heat.

Despite the heat and losing every game the children all played really well. There were lots of great batting hits, some fantastic fielding and lots of good bowls. We even had Mr Berry come and support us, who was very knowledgeable with the game and was able to offer some great advice and support for the children.
