The third little pig and potions

Northam care trust visit and cooking

On Friday a group of children from Melbury and goldworthy were lucky to do some cooking with clients from Northam care trust. They decided to show them our Stone pot soup story. There was even first times s’mores that were had! Amazing work and they can’t wait to visit the caretrust on Friday.

Today foxdown were surprised when they had a letter from one of the pigs asking for help with his stick house. They’re a bit worried now that next week we will get a visit from the final pig to build his brick house!!!!!

We had a very chilly first session but we warmed up with hot chocolate or hot blackcurrant. We had fun exploring ways to work out how old a tree is and the height. They then found ice that had frozen in all the mud kitchen pans.
Cooking fun

Today sunflowers and Cranford got cook on the fire gor the first time. They had so much fun making, cooking and of course eating. We talked about how fire is hot and dangerous. They loved listening ti it crackle and pop.

We had a great afternoon rain painting some Christmas decorations. We had to make our own rain as it actually stopped raining when we got out to forest school. We had a run to keep us warm and learnt some different ways to keep their hands warm.
