George and the Dragon

While some of Stroxworthy and Alminstone classes have been at Paignton, we have been learning about St George.  Yesterday, we learnt about who he was and how we celebrate St George’s Day.  Today, we heard two versions of the story George and the Dragon and then worked in groups to act it out.

Can you wrap a Mummy?

On Monday in English, we started learning about our topic ‘Sands of Time’. We looked at the Ancient Egyptian process of Mummification. We were challenged to wrap each other in linen cloth including gems and then write a set of clear instructions of how to do it.

Viking Longship

Well, the Longship is now complete and awaiting our end of topic bonfire this afternoon in front of the whole school, parents and friends. The morning…   Gallery of the fire…    

Bike Ride

We had a great turn-out for this year’s FOWS Father’s Day Cycle Ride from Bideford to Instow! Thank you to everyone who came along.

Exhibition of work in the church

Ashmansworthy class enjoyed looking at the exhibition of work in the church. Our map looks very impressive with all the other work displayed with it.

Rocky Road success!

Our rocky road and blackcurrant bakewell were a great success. Enjoyed by us all.So lovely to see everyone.  Thank you for your continued support.  Please note NO drop in next week but look forward to seeing you all on the 20th March.

It’s cake day again!

We are making cakes today for our drop in day tomorrow. We have chocolate chip… And lovely caramel. We had a really good time! Please pop in and try some!
