Caving

Our final activity was caving. This was one of the activities which some of the children were most nervous of, but many of them said after they had done it, it was their favourite. Well done for a fantastic week, year six. You were amazing!

Dragon boating

It was a lovely morning to be on the Bude Canal in a dragon boat. Everyone worked as a team to cruise along enjoying the scenery. A very relaxing time was had by all.

Beach walk

More relaxing on the beach this afternoon where the children played some team games, built a scale model of Bude out of sand and then went crabbing in a giant rock pool which used to be a bathing pool for gentlemen after they had been to church (women weren’t allowed; they had to go to […]

Surfing

We had a lovely time in the sea this morning on our surf boards. Unfortunately the sea was flat calm with barely a ripple, but we still founds ways to have fun. We were joined by a big shoal of fish at the end.

Climbing and Abseiling

After our challenging morning on the high-ropes, the children were ready for climbing and abseiling. They showed great determination to get as high as they could on the climbing wall, and some even faced the heady heights of the abseil. Well done everybody!

National headband day (apparently!)

High Ropes

High ropes this morning was amazing! Everybody challenged themselves and did their best to face their fears. I was really impressed with you all. Well done! Now you’ll be ready for the climbing and abseiling this afternoon!

Fancy dress night

A great effort was made by everybody for fancy dress night. From aliens to ninjas, strawberries and pineapples, skeletons and Harry Potter-you all looked fabulous! Well done

Mountain Boarding

I am so proud of how our group are working togethet encouraging each other and pushing themselves to do their best. Here are some photos of today’s hot and sunny Mountain Boarding session… And here (if it works…) are some video snippets from the end of the session:

Canoeing

What a lovely sunny day to be messing about on (or mostly in) the canal. It’s great to see the children having so much fun.

Crabbing

What better way to spend a summer’s evening than crabbing from the sand rails in Bude? Sadly not enough for tea, so these went back in the water and we had BBQ chicken instead..

Winnie’s Birthday Cake

Did we mention it’s Winnie’s Birthday? Adventure International made this beautiful cake for us to help Winnie celebrate. 😎🎂

Team Trail

The children worked together to complete a series of challenges before having a water fight at the end. A great way to cool down!

Monday Morning Body Boarding

It was a lovely morning for body boarding today. The waves were just about right and we all had fun!

Winnie’s Birthday (and morning swim!)

Haaaaappppyyyy birthday, Winnie! All of our children loved the tropical swim in Bude’s very own fully heated sea pool 😉 (Oh, and everyone slept all night! 😁😁😁)

We’ve arrived!

We have arrived at Adventure International for our week of exciting activities! After Mr Cole has told us about the centre, we’re going downstairs to explore. Then our evening meal is at 5.40pm.
