We have arrived, unpacked and settled in to Adventure International. After a delicious dinner of pasta and ice-cream, we are now exploring the site and spending some of our money. Beach games later and then a “Getting to know you” disco before bed(ha ha, who am I kidding?!)

Riding the waves…surfing (DD)

Group DD enjoyed surfing this afternoon on Summerleaze Beach. The sun was shining and the water was warm. After instruction and a warm up, we entered the water. The children made great progress first kneeling then standing up on the surfboards. After nearly losing my camera in the surf(!), I managed to get some photos. Enjoy!

Group DD enjoyed learning how to kayak this morning. We were shown how to hold our paddles correctly to scoop water away from the kayak. Once in the kayak we used a sweeping motion to turn the boat and learnt how to paddle backwards to slow down or stop. We played several games and the […]
Morning High Ropes Group CC

Group CC negotiated the terrifying high ropes course this morning, setting their fears aside to conquer the different challenges thrown their way. I was extremely proud of all of the children for having a go and trying something new, once again their team work and their ability to motivate each other was brilliant.
Fancy Dress Night

Congratulations to Tom B for winning the fancy dress competition on Tuesday evening dressed as the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. A great effort was made by everyone else despite the heat and exhaustion of the day. Well done Woolsery!

Mountain Boarding (Group DD)

We had an enjoyable session on “Bude Mountain” learning to mountain board. After the safety talk and instruction the children built up confidence going down the hill before attempting the ramps. The sun was shining and a great time was had by all.
