Legoland

We’re completely exhausted after a wonderful day at Legoland!  It was very quiet in the Park today so we could go on lots of rides. We also joined in with the national Two Minutes Silence for VE Day at noon.

London Eye and Matilda

We had a great flight on the London Eye… Matilda was absolutely amazing and we found the performances of the children, who are the same age as us, completely inspiring. (The adult cast were pretty good too…)

River Cruise and Downing Street

The river cruise today was really interesting (the commentary was very funny) Afterwards, we had a surprise because we got last minute authorisation to go down to Downing St and have photos taken on the steps. Whilst we were there, the Home Secretary arrived for a meeting.

We Saw The King!

We had a really interesting tour of Parliament this morning and a great workshop to understand more about how Parliament works… And then, whilst we were walking towards the river cruise jetty, we saw the King and Queen who were riding to Westminster Abbey. Very exciting!

Evening Walk around London

It was a lovely evening for a walking sightseeing tour of central London. From Hard Rock Cafe on Park Lane, we headed across to the Wellington Arch, then down through Green Park to Buckingham Palace. At Buckingham Palace, the King was there because the Royal Standard was flying. We also saw the guards and lots […]

Hard Rock Cafe

The food at Hard Rock Cafe was amazing. We’re now off to see the VE Day 80 decorations around Buckingham Palace and The Mall.

Lunch at Reading

We decided to get further along the M4 before lunch, and stopped at Reading for a picnic in the sun. (The one not photographed didn’t want his photo taken… he IS with us!)
