Kayaking

Our last activity! We were relieved the rain held off so that we could enjoy the canal again. Kayaks are hard to steer!

Surfing

After an incredibly heavy shower, the sky miraculously cleared and we loved surfing!

Climbing wall

We were impressed by everyone’s skills on the climbing wall!

High ropes

The wild, wet weather didn’t stop us enjoying the challenges of the high ropes! IMG_1228 IMG_1236 IMG_1242 IMG_1245 IMG_1246 IMG_1249 IMG_1250 IMG_1251 IMG_1257 IMG_1258

Evening entertainment

We’ve loved the opportunity to relax and enjoy our free time. Who knew Mr Marks was so good at card tricks? Some people were even brave enough to entertain the audience at the talent show!

Bude town trail

We followed clues around Bude and especially enjoyed walking along the clifftop and meeting a tortoise having its daily walk along the breakwater!

Canoeing

We have been on the Bude canal canoeing this morning in the beautiful sunshine. Almost everyone got wet!

Fancy dress

What amazing costumes for the fancy dress competition!

A wet afternoon

The final hurdle of the team trail was a very wet slide!

Team trail

Great fun was had on the team trail this afternoon. Lots of collaboration and problem-solving!

Body boarding

We had an amazing time on Summerleaze beach. The waves were quite gentle but good enough for everyone to master their boards!

Good morning!

It’s another beautiful morning in Bude! We enjoyed the karaoke and football last night and we’re excited about body boarding and the team trail today.

Caving

There wasn’t a lot of sunshine underground this afternoon!

Mountain boarding

What a great start to our activities! We all enjoyed mountain boarding in the sunshine.

Settling in and first night

We arrived safely at Bude and enjoyed our first meal. We had free time before meeting the tutors, dancing at the disco and playing outside. Everyone slept well and we’re ready for action – mountain boarding and caving today!

River Trip

The weather was lovely to sit on the top deck and listen to the very funny but interesting commentary.

London Eye

The London Eye flight was great – we were very lucky with the weather, and could even see Wembley arches on the horizon.

Downing Street

We were SO lucky to be allowed to the door of Downing St, with time for individual photos too…

Palace of Westminster

We’ve had an amazing morning working our way through Parliament, visiting House of Commons, House of Lords and Westminster Hall. We also learnt how our democracy works and were visited by our MP Sir Geoffrey Cox. Oh, and before we went in, we had time to chat with some of the armed police (who were […]

At the theatre!

Just enough time to say we’re at the Lyceum Theatre ready for The Lion King! …and these are some photos from a quick trip we managed to St James’s Park as we were early for Pizza Hut. Some welcome downtime with the ducks, ducklings, Canada geese and swans
