Surfing

It was back to the sea for our penultimate activity: the waves were pretty fierce but everyone threw themselves (sometimes literally) enthusiastically into surfing.

Final Meal!

Goodbye, Bude, you’ve been amazing!

Bouldering

It was lovely and shady on the rocks this afternoon. Great climbing from everyone!

Climbing

This afternoon we have had the opportunity to have a go at climbing up the side of the Adventure Bude building.

High Ropes

What an amazing morning on the high ropes! Everyone showed determination and resilience on All Aboard, Jacob’s Ladder, Leap of Faith, the continuous trail and The Rack.

Evening Entertainment

Everyone is safely in bed after another enjoyable day. Last night we had a fancy dress competition (Bambi and Thumper won a prize!) and tonight there was a talent show. Well done to all those who entered the karaoke and these events!

Bude Town Trail

What a spectacular walk through the town of Bude and up along the cliffs to to solve clues and save Egg-bert from an insurmountable drop.

Canoeing on Bude Canal

Team Trail

We had a super afternoon in the sunshine, working collaboratively to solve different challenges. The instructors kept us cool with water pistols and buckets of water!

Body Boarding

We couldn’t see the sea at first but there are definitely waves out there!

Monday Evening

It’s been a very hot afternoon in the caves (it was a bit dark to take photos!), which everyone enjoyed. We’re now relaxing and watching the evening entertainments – karaoke and five-a-side!

Mountain Boarding – more photos and slo-mos

We took some slow motion shots of the children mountain boarding this morning… No injuries (we promise!!) so all falls were part of the learning process, hence the helmets and pads. Lucas’ spectacular wipeout… Race to the Bottom… Molly and Abi – quietly confident Harry, playing it cool… Ella – great technique! Elayna – oozing […]

We Have Arrived – and Mountain Boarding

Bude 2023 is off to a flying start. We’re just eating dinner and have settled into our rooms. We meet our tutors at 7pm this evening. A run on the beach or a swim in the sea pool – a great way to start the day! We’ve just finished breakfast and we’re looking forward to […]

On our way home

So, London 2023 is a wrap. Thank you, parents, for lending us your children these past three days- they have been great company and have worked and lived seamlessly alongside our other Partnership schools, and with the children from Kingsacre Primary School too. Please remember we’re operating a flexible registration for residential children tomorrow so […]

Legoland

Legoland has been awesome today. We got wet on the flume, which was great fun! We have been on lots of the rides because there were almost no queues in the park today.

Good-bye, London!

We’re all packed up and now en-route to Legoland.

Downing Street and the London Eye

We were so lucky to have been allowed in to Downing Street and have our photos taken with North Devon MP, Selaine Saxby. Afterwards we walked over to the South Bank and went on the London Eye

Matilda!

We’re at the Cambridge Theatre. We’re very excited. We ARE “Revolting Children” #matildathemusical #revoltingchildren #whenigrowup #maggots

Parliament

We had a great tour of Parliament this morning, visiting the Robing Room, Lords Chamber, House of Lords, Central Lobby, House of Commons and Westminster Hall (no photos in any but Westminster Hall) We then spent time in the Education Centre and had a visit from both Torridge & West Devon MP Sir Geoffrey Cox […]
