In continuous provision this week we have enjoyed the shop role play area, counting out coins and vegetables.

EYFS Continuous Provision

We were very excited to find real visitors in our tuff tray. We learnt that they were likely to be toads as they were brown with a bumpy skin. At the maths table we had the challenge of making ladybugs and then counting their spots.

Exploring Continuous Provision

Anyone for golf โ›ณ๏ธ ? We had fun having a game of golf and creating a golf course. This activity helped to improve our hand eye coordination and we are good at taking it in turns.

In continuous provision whilst we have been playing to learn, we have enjoyed using our imagination and communicating with each other.

Happy World Book Day!

We shared some lovely books and costumes for World Book Day – thank you. Sunflowers enjoyed going to the school library to choose a book to take home in our book bag to share with our family.

This week we have been playing to learn by building, counting and sticking.

Playing to Learn

In continuous provision this week, we have enjoyed building in our construction area, digging in the sandpit and playing at the water tray. At the art table, we have made some lovely bear pictures using different media.

Playing to Learn in Continuous Provision

We had fun having a tea party at the water tray using different size cups and dishes. We are good at using the language of size; large, medium and small. We are good at retelling the story using the masks and using our imagination to act out the storyline.

In continuous provision this week we have been cooking porridge in the home role play area. We enjoyed experimenting with the scales โ€œIt goes up if itโ€™s not heavyโ€

Christmas in EYFS ๐ŸŽ„

Itโ€™s beginning to look like Christmas in continuous provision:- We have enjoyed using different utensils to create a Christmas tree We used our imagination at the small world Christmas table.๐ŸŽ…

The Jolly Christmas Postman

In continuous provision, we have had great fun in our role play area at the Jolly Post Office writing letters, addressing envelopes, stamping, weighing and posting. We enjoyed using our gross motor skills to scoop Christmas puddings out of the water tray.

Stickman : Continuous Provision

We enjoyed listening to the story of Stickman and then exploring the activities set up in continuous provision. In the messy, maths tray we had the challenge of using sticks to form numbers. We also had fun in outside continuous provision

Remembrance

This week we have been learning about poppies and remembrance and what our armed forces have done and continue to do for us all.

Fireworks in Continuous Provision

We have enjoyed the firework themed activities set up in continuous provision for us to create our own fireworks using different media. It was fun thinking of firework noises as we created; whizz, crackle and pop.
