Making Rivers

In Alminstone Class we have been making rivers in the playground to explore the course of the water. After deciding where the source of our rivers would be, we talked about the direction that we thought the water would travel in and the paths that the rivers would take. Then, to create our rivers, we poured water out of bottles and observed what happened. We discussed the reasons why most of our rivers flowed into the drain and why some of them split and changed direction.
