Making Rope in Forest School

Ashmansworthy Class had a good first Forest School lesson of the term. We investigated how twine is made and what it’s made from.
W
e also made rope from toilet roll by twisting lengths together with a drill… And we were surprised how strong it was!
Finally (before hot chocolate!) We made rope from willow bark – it’s drying at the moment, we’ll see how strong it is next week.
