Making chocolate rocks

Today, we have been making different types of chocolate rocks at school and at home. We started by grating a bar of white chocolate and a bar of dark chocolate. Using these we created our chocolate rocks. We made sedimentary (layered) rock, metamorphic (change/morph)rock and igneous (solidified molten) rock. This was achieved by heating and melting the metamorphic rock and turning it to liquid chocolate and then leaving it to cool and solidify into an igneous chocolate rock. It was great fun, but a little messy. The classroom has smelt like a chocolate factory this afternoon.
