Making disgusting sandwiches

Today in Stroxworthy, we managed to dodge the rain and create the most disgusting sandwiches.  After reading the story ‘The Disgusting Sandwich’ by Gareth Edwards we decided to make our own.  We went to the forest school area and added  some rather unusual fillings including: sticky mud, wet grass, slithering snails, pitch black beetles and lots of wriggling worms.  Inspired by our creations, we then returned to the classroom to write some expanded noun phrases based on our disgusting sandwiches.
