All in knots, leaves and seeds! 7/11

To burscott have been learning all about knots. They tried their hands at doing a clove hitch and a reef knot. They found it hard but they kept going and did an amazing job. We also did some leaf identification with some clay work. We then ended on a challenge that I’ve chosen for burscott. They will be in charge of our new tree nursery. We have been very lucky and Devon Wildlife Trust have given us some awesome kit to help with their project, ‘saving Devons treescape’. Today we processed Rowan berries and the children were giggling and laughing when talking about how tress with berries get the seeds dispersed. The wonder on their faces when they found seeds inside the berries. Watch this space!!!
