Pine pitch glue and forest school buddies

Today we looked at pine resin and made it into pine pitch glue. The children estimated how long it would take to melt. They were fascinated when the solid resin turned into a liquid. They had fun making magical sticks and learning the cobra knot for their forest school buddies. We had a fire and ate yummy s’mores as it was a bit chilly. They were so excited when it started to snow.
