Exploring Space

In continuous provision we have enjoyed exploring lots of space themed activities which as well as being fun, developed our fine motor skills and introduced new vocabulary.

We counted out the correct number of moon stones in the gloop to place on numbered planets.
It was fun hunting numbered planets in
gelli baff
We enjoyed rolling and manipulating playdough to make aliens and stars
We were lucky to have the use of a telescope to identify planets
We communicated with each other and worked together to create a rocket in our outside construction area
We used our scissor skills to cut out planets to add to our space books
We squeezed a pipette to add water to Lego. This activity strengthens the muscles in our fingers which will improve pencil grip
We experienced different media painting by painting on foil.
