Catching the Waves

The surf was up this afternoon as we made our way to the beach. After a quick lesson and a warm up we were straight into the waves…and what waves they were! It was a bit like being in a washing machine. Anyway, the children enjoyed the challenge of manoeuvring their boards into position and attempting to catch the wave and stand up. There were a few collisions and several boards became airborne, but it all added to the fun. We finished off the afternoon with an impromptu visit to the sea pool which made up for missing out this morning. So it was back to the centre for a quick shower and snack before orienteering before tea. It’s all go. We are doing our best to wear the children out. Watch out for the Fancy Dress Disco pics later!

  1. Wow. What a fantastic week you are all having! We have loved looking at all the photos and updates, seeing the amazing achievements of you all. Thank you to all the staff involved before, during and after the residential from both schools.

  3. Oh my goodness Yr 6 what a great time you are having! The surfing looks such fun and you all look so happy. We are busy back at school and will put your photos on the whiteboard tomorrow so we can all have another look. See you on Friday.

  4. Aimee you look like you are having an amazing time, we are all enjoying seeing the pictures of what you are up to, great pictures of you in kayak. Missing you lots love your family. Erin says to tell you that Daddy still puts out five plates at tea time!
