Shields for the Longship

This afternoon we took advantage of the sunshine and worked outside. We looked at a range of Viking shields, identifying different patterns and designs and the wide use of colours. In our topic books we made two of our own designs, then we decided which was best. Finally, we drew and painted the designs onto cardboard ready for the burning on Tuesday.
This looks like such an interesting project and the results will look amazing :-)
