How long is that?

Yesterday in Maths, Alminstone class were estimating and measuring lengths, widths and heights of objects around the classroom. Firstly, we had to estimate our height and then see how accurate we were. Knowing the length of a ruler is 30cm and a metre stick is 100cm and the knowledge of our height, we could use this information to help estimate the length of other objects. We could use rulers, tape measures and metre sticks to measure the objects and had to decide whether to measure in mm, cm or m depending on how long it was.
