A Super Start to the Summer Term

In continuous provision, we have had a great time playing to learn at the water tray. It has been fun filling jugs and watering cans with water and then pouring into tubes and down pipes. All these activities help develop our gross motor skills. We communicated with each other to find the best way to fill the buckets using the piping. There was lots of maths language as to quantity and size.

Pouring and splashing whilst watching what happens to the water.
Turning the tap on the water butt to fill our buckets with water. By carrying the buckets we are developing our gross motor skills.
We communicated with each other and worked together to build a slope and track. We took it in turns to run different sized balls down the track.
We were very proud when the cars ran down the slope on the track we had built.
