World Book Day in Ashmansworthy, March 26

There were so many fantastic, imaginative costumes for WBD 26! We really enjoyed dressing up, taking part in a book quiz and sharing lots of stories.    

Story Dough ~ The Three Little Aliens and the Big Bad Robot

In story dough this week we made the aliens; Bork, Gork and Nklxwcyz out of green play dough giving them eyes and antennae. We also learned some new words such as alien, planet, robot, crash, strong.

The circulatory system

Yesterday, Ashmansworthy learnt about the circulatory system. How the heart works with the lungs and the blood to deliver oxygen, water and nutrients around the whole body. To help us understand how long our veins and arteries are we drew lifesize pictures of ourselves including the circulatory system.

Happy World Book Day!

Badminton at ARC, Feb 26

Ashmansworthy’s last two sessions at ARC focused on badminton. The coaches had lots of ideas for helping us get used to different equipment. We were sorry to come to the end of such an exciting run of PE lessons!

ART Colour Smell and taste

This week we had heart fun looking at fruit and their colour inside and out , many fruits we looked at were different inside these included apples, pineapple as well as greats we especially enjoyed eating them and finding words to describe them like, soft, hard ,juicy, sweet and sour.
